The Glow-worm Easicom₃ combi boiler offers excellent value for money. Boiler prices including installation are likely to sit in the region of £2,250.
The Easicom₃ is available as a 24kW or 28kW. That’s going to mean it’s suited for a 1-3 bedroom semi-detached property with 1 shower. If you have a larger property or 2 showers, you’ll need a much larger combi.
You’ll get a 5-year warranty from a brand where 80% of reviews on Trustpilot rate Glow-worm as 5 star. And after installation, expect to save anywhere from £180-320 per year on your gas bill.
Glow-worm’s Easicom₃ is low noise (50-51 dBa) and is available with a range of heating controls.

Before we cover the top reasons to buy the Easicom₃ combi boiler, we’ll look at Glow-worm boiler prices and how they compare to other leading brands.
First, let’s look at the prices you’d expect to pay from an online plumbing and heating merchant for the most efficient boiler brands we install.
So, you should expect to pay somewhere in the region of £1,000 for a high quality 24kW combi boiler. By comparison, the Glow-worm Easicom₃ is generally priced in the region of £750 from the same plumbing and heating merchants; that’s a huge saving.
It’s available as a 24kW or 28kW, so it’s going to be suitable for 1-3 bedroom properties that have 1 shower. For those properties that have more than 1 shower, you’ll need a bigger combi boiler (at least 35kW), so the Easicom₃ won’t be suitable.

Apart from the fact the Easicom₃ offers excellent value for money in comparison to other leading brands in the UK heating space, what are the other reasons to buy it?
The warranty offered by manufacturers is incredibly important. Like any mechanical appliance, you’re going to get breakdowns over time. And when this happens, you’ll need to call a Gas Safe engineer to fix any problems.
Typical costs to repair or replace components in a combi boiler are as follows:
If your boiler is under warranty, all of the above would be fixed for free. Put simply, you want the longest warranty possible.
The Glow-worm Easicom₃ comes with a 5-year warranty, which is inline with the warranty offered by many other manufacturers. It’s actually higher than many other boilers offered at this price point (some boilers only come with a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty).

If you’ve not heard of Glow-worm before, there are a couple of things you should know…
First, the company is owned by Vaillant, a leader in the UK heating space that directly competes with Worcester Bosch. That means the majority of the components used in the Easicom₃ boiler are on-par with Vaillant or in some cases, the same.
Secondly, Glow-worm reviews online are above-par, as we can see on Trustpilot.
Glow-worm gets an average review rating of 4.4 stars. More importantly, over 80% of customers rate the Glow-worm brand as 5 star.
Put simply, Glow-worm is a brand that offers boilers on a budget, yet matches brands that are more expensive in terms of product quality, warranty and after-sales care.

Both the 24kW and 28kW versions of the Easicom₃ combi boiler work at 94% efficiency. That means for every 1kWh of gas they consume, they’re able to produce 0.94kWh of heat.
This is classed as an A-rated boiler, much more efficient than older boilers. Ratings for older boilers are as follows:
As you can see from the above graphic produced by the Energy Saving Trust, this could mean a huge saving on your gas bill. Depending on the rating of your current boiler - assuming you live in a semi-detached house - you could see gas bill savings of £180-320 per year.
With finance available, the savings on your gas bill would almost cover the monthly cost of your new boiler!
Our boiler tool here gives fixed prices on-screen, as well as estimates of how much you’re likely to save by upgrading to an A-rated combi boiler such as the Easicom₃.
The Glow-worm Easicom₃ has a clear and easy to use LCD display. Alongside this, you'll have a range of options when it comes to controlling your new combi boiler, and your heating system as a whole.
Glow-worm's Easicom₃ is compatible with the likes of the:
Older boilers can be incredibly noisy, with most older boilers being 60 dBa or higher. If your boiler is located in an airing cupboard next to a bedroom, or even below one, the noise is going to be noticeable.
Luckily, as part of the R&D of the Easicom₃, Glow-worm focused on making this boiler as quiet as possible. And every dBa reduction makes a huge amount of difference, as you can see in this graphic produced by the Hearing Health Foundation.
The 24kW operates at as low as 50 dBa, whilst the 28kW works as low as 51 dB.
And that wraps up our Glow-worm Easicom₃ review.
